Hold Fast Your Dream by Louise Briscoll. This encouraging poem can be read at http://davidlharrison.wordpress.com Poetry is very important. I believe most writers at a young age began their careers writing their daily emotions down in this form.
This poem inspired me today and applies to anyone at any age, dreaming is like learning...if we stop doing them then we stop growing as a person to better ourselves. Good choice, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing the Driscoll poem. I read it the other day as a benediction at the conclusion of a luncheon. A minister in the audience came up to ask for a copy of the poem to use in his own work.

A great book on how to write poetry is "The Art and Craft of Poetry."

Thank you Missy for your added words of encouragement. Dreams and goals enrich our lives. Fly high!
