promised today
God
kept it away
Clouds
and sun
Fought
for space
In
the sky overhead
At
the local festival
God
knew many
Had created items
To
sell to feed the family
God
answered prayers
Kept
the rain away
Until
everyone was asleep
After
counting their blessings
Knowing God answers prayers.
