Since my husband died November 15, 2015 and my book, "Heroes Beneath the Wave," was released November 17, 2015 and moving, I am trying to get back to my roots of writing about writing on this blog.
Bernard Most who wrote, "The Littlest Dinosaurs," visited our beautiful large library (I believe 1989), at Twin Falls, Idaho. I always get so nervous when I meet educated people (I never attended school much.). I was in aw as he spoke about his books and writing for children. Writing for children was always my dream since I was a kid telling stories and drawing for my younger brothers and sisters.
I waited until the last kid and adult was done, when I approached him. I remember him being so kind and thoughtful; listening and answering my questions about my dreams. He showed me his drawings and proofs he worked on to create the book. I'll never forget. http://www.bernardmost.com/aboutbernard.htm
I didn't buy a book as I couldn't afford one. I didn't have a library card for after they built the new library, the cost was too expense if you lived in the country.
Prior to this time I was the president of the Idaho Writers League (Magic Valley Writers Chapter) and had started writing for magazines.
