SPRING IS HERE!
(c) by Mary Nida Smith
Along my woodland garden's stone wall.
Music of Spring
Trumpets of daffodils
sound loudly until
music of spring
days are fulfilled.
They now standstill
slowly returning
to the soil to rest
while spring continues
to blossom.
Wild plants and trees
join in to announce
this is the season
to be awake after
winter’s deep sleep.

Beautiful photo and poem. We are celebrating spring in my classroom too by making kites and butterflies. Enjoy the first signs of spring.
Thanks Missy. Are you flying kites?
Yes, I have been enjoying these warm days with the redbud and dogwoods blooming. The weatherman is talking about freezing and maybe some snow.
We made paper kites to display at our art show. We are expecting the same freezing weather here too.
Art show, oh Missy I wish I was closer to come to your art show. I bet the kites are beautiful.
Lovely poem, Mary! It sure doesn't feel like spring this morning! :)
Cold mornings ahead. I sure hope it doesn't kill the redbud and dogwood blossoms.
