Everyday we try and read a "poem in my pocket" to my students. They enjoy each and everyone, especially the funny ones! The other day we read one about flying a kite and how the kite waves back from the sky.

Last years poster for poetry month. I love poetry. Poetry written for children can be serious, but I love the ones that make me giggle and feel silly.
